Casa Parral at Void CDMX

For a week-long residency at Casa Parral, a private apartment and event space above the luxury vintage store VOID in Roma Norte, Mexico City, I developed a six-course dinner series inspired by the city itself.

Rather than creating a conventionally Mexican menu, each course interpreted a different place, atmosphere, or ritual I encountered in CDMX, from El Cardenal and Mercado de San Juan to Central de Abasto, Desierto de los Leones, the Anthropology Museum, and Plaza Garibaldi.

I spent the first part of the residency researching, shopping, and developing the menu on-site, then hosted three intimate dinners for eight guests each. The project became an important step in expanding my work internationally and deepening my approach to building dinners around place, memory, and cultural observation rather than cuisine alone.
