Charles Raben x Eartheater x Reference Studios

For Eartheater’s album listening party in Paris, produced by Reference Studios to celebrate her tour, I continued my ongoing dinner series interpreting an artist’s music and personal world through food. The evening also included two live performances by Eartheater.

I led the culinary development from concept through execution, including budgeting, sourcing, menu development, recipe testing, and kitchen direction. As with the Mizu dinner, I began by listening closely to the music and translating the imagery, textures, memories, and emotions it evoked into sketches and original dishes.

The menu also drew from Eartheater’s personal history, including her Russian family background, childhood on a horse farm in Pennsylvania, and themes of motherhood and transformation. I also conceptualized a custom garment tied to the visual language of the dinner, extending the project beyond the food into a more complete creative world.
